Papilloma of the labia: manifestations and treatment methods

Papilloma on the labia is a rather sensitive problem that causes self-dissatisfaction and a decrease in the quality of sex. They are difficult to hide, they can cause discomfort during intercourse, so papillomas should be removed. In addition, in some cases, the growth of the genitals in women can be a dangerous risk of getting cancer.

Reasons for papilloma formation

Papilloma of the jaw or genital warts are the result of infection with human papillomavirus. In total, there are more than 100 strains of this virus, which vary according to the type of tumor and the risk of getting cancer treatment.

The virus mainly enters the body through sexual contact against reduced immunity. At the same time, a man who has infected a woman may not have any visible signs that the virus is present, as male papillomas do not always appear on the skin.

Decreased immunity is manifested in the light of recently transmitted infectious diseases, lack of vitamins or chronic stress. Papilloma of the labia can be caused by reduced local immunity, due to various inflammatory diseases and infectious diseases of the genitals, including dry and vaginal bacteria. At the same time, before infection, it is enough to use the personal hygiene products of others, so that after a while, unsightly growth of the jaws appears.

Thus, despite the fact that the virus is transmitted from one person to another, there are reasons why papillomas appear on the jaws in women as follows:

  • decreased immunity after ARVI, pneumonia, flu or tonsillitis;
  • vaginal infections;
  • do not maintain personal hygiene;
  • stress;
  • dietary imbalances;
  • the presence of chronic infections in the body;
  • inadvisable sex.

All of these factors lead to a reduction in immunity, both general and local. As a result, the body becomes susceptible to various adverse effects and cannot tolerate human papillomavirus.

Very often the virus does not appear, restricted by human immunity. This is only true if the person is completely healthy. Then the virus can be asymptomatic in the body for a long time. Papilloma formation will occur against the background of a decrease in immunity. If this does not happen in the next few years, the body can deal with the virus on its own, but suicide usually takes at least 18 months.

What do genital papillomas look like?

The manifestation of a woman's jaw infection depends on several factors:

  • type of viruses;
  • the strength of the virus in the body;
  • location of growth.

Papilloma of the labia minora is caused by the effects of carcinogenic or conditioned carcinogenic strains of the virus (16, 18, 31, 32, 45 and other types). It is easy to understand what this papilloma of the labia looks like, knowing what a condyloma is. These are small papules with hooked edges that rise above the surface of the mucous membrane. They are usually not different in color or are slightly lighter than mucous membranes. Manifestations of the papilloma virus on the jaw, which cause the development of genital warts, can spread to a woman's abdomen, uterus and vagina.

Condyloma always develops only on the mucous membranes. Papillomas of the inner jaw in women do not appear, they only form in areas with thin skin.

Papillomas are small balls on the leg that rise above the skin. They have smooth edges with the right shape, can be a little lighter or darker than the rest of the skin. When pressed, the papilloma of the labia does not hurt, under the fingers a homogeneous structure of growth is felt. This type of tumor appears in the umbilical folds and on the labia majora.

Almost all known methods are used to remove papillomas on the jaws, as there is a risk of burns or deep damage to the skin. Treatment of papilloma of the labia minora takes place in a comprehensive manner as such growth is potentially dangerous.

Warts can form in the following areas:

  • small jaw;
  • vulva;
  • vagina;
  • Cervix;
  • rectal opening;
  • cross;
  • urethra.

Photographs of papilloma of the labia are no different from images of growth on other parts of the body than papillomas or condylomas of the vagina and vagina are difficult to detect on their own.

Papilloma of the labia during pregnancy is associated with a decrease in immunity. In this case, timely treatment of the consequences of HPV plays an important role, otherwise there is a risk of infection of the baby as it passes through the birth canal.

Why are papillomas dangerous?

Male sexual contact and papillomavirus in men's jaws are directly related. First, upon contact with the affected mucosa, there is a risk that the virus will spread to sexual partners. Second, with friction during intercourse, papillomas and condylomas can be damaged, which is accompanied by pain. There is a risk of infection with papilloma, while it becomes inflamed and may begin to develop into cancer.

There are cases where a woman has a large papilloma of the labia majora due to recurrent injuries. No woman is insured for such a risk. High growth is very dangerous and should be removed first.

Papilloma of the mucous membranes of the labia minora and of the vagina can lead to the development of cervical cancer. This is due to the activity of papillomavirus, which is manifested by a large division of epithelial cells in the labia minora and other parts of the mucous membrane. In this case, damage to the cells of the cervix develops in several stages. First, HPV ruptures the jaw, then it turns into dysplasia, a cancerous disease. Lack of timely treatment of dysplasia leads to the development of cervical cancer.

It should be understood that all papillomas on the mucous membrane of the labia are a potential risk. Papilloma itself can degenerate into cancer and not only cause cervical cancer. Signs of malignant papilloma include an increase in the size of the growth, pain and itching, discharge with an unpleasant odor from the growth body and darkening of the skin in the affected area. If you notice such symptoms, you should consult a doctor as soon as possible - oncologist, gynecologist or dermatologist.

Treatment and removal of papilloma

How to treat papilloma of the labia depends on their number and size. It is recommended not to use medication yourself, but to consult a doctor who will tell you in detail what to do to remove and prevent papilloma from reappearing on the jaws.

To get rid of papilloma of the labia should be consistent. First, the activity of the virus is suppressed, then the growth itself is removed and, if necessary, immunostimulatory treatment is carried out. To determine the exact sequence of treatments, a PCR analysis should be performed that shows the activity and strength of the virus and also allows you to determine its strain.

If it turns out that a woman with a dangerous virus strain, 16 or 18 years old, complex treatment is needed. In this case, each removed papilloma is sent for histological examination and a complete examination of the cervix is performed due to changes in the epithelial tissue.

How to remove papilloma on the labia depends on the exact location. Skin tumors are removed in any existing way - from surgery to people. This is because the skin of the labia majora is thick enough, so there are rarely any complications after they have been removed. It is fair to say that the labia majora formations in most cases do not pose a health risk and do not cause cancer.

Mucosal genital warts are removed using either the laser effect or the radiowave method. These two methods are considered the mildest, as long as they do not block the blood vessels that nourish the growth, so the risk of bleeding is minimal. When a tumor is removed from the cervix or vagina, a histological diagnosis is needed to rule out the onset of a pathological process.

You should consult your doctor about how to remove papilloma of the labia. If the diagnosis showed a high concentration of the virus in the body, there is a risk of genital warts regeneration, therefore complex treatment is carried out, e. g. mt three points.

  1. After a virus strain has been determined, the woman is prescribed antiviral and immunosuppressive therapy. This is necessary to suppress the virus and minimize the risk of papilloma regeneration.
  2. After an average of several weeks of treatment, the papillomas are removed using the chosen method and agreed with your doctor. A laser removal or radio wave method is recommended.
  3. Shortly after the interest rate was removed, the analysis should be repeated. If the concentration of the virus is still high, a second course of treatment is prescribed.

The medicines used to treat papillomas are available in tablets and ointments. Antiviral ointments with immunosuppressive properties are recommended for the treatment of papillomas on the skin. If there is growth on the mucous membranes, it is recommended to take pills.

Generally, after the removal of papilloma and chemotherapy, the body heals on its own after a few months or years. To avoid papilloma regeneration, a woman must adhere to hygiene rules, maintain her own immunity, and avoid unprotected sex.
